Donald Trump attacks prospective indictment during Waco rally

Former President Donald Trump delivered a fiery speech at his first public rally of the 2024 election cycle in Waco, Texas. During the event, he spent much of his time attacking the various investigations against him.

"They're coming after you," Trump warned his supporters, referring to what he calls partisan witch hunts aimed at discrediting and punishing him. "They can't beat us fairly so they're trying to use their power against me."

In particular, Trump focused on the prospect of a looming indictment against him. He claimed that any such effort would be politically motivated and vowed to fight it tooth and nail.

"I know they're going to come after me with everything they've got," he said. "But I'm not worried because I'm innocent. They have nothing on me."

Trump's remarks came amid several ongoing investigations into his business dealings and possible criminal conduct while in office. The former president has consistently dismissed these inquiries as politically motivated attacks by Democrats seeking revenge for his defeat in the 2020 election.

Despite this controversy, tens of thousands of supporters turned out for the rally in Waco to hear from their leader once again.

"He speaks for us," said one attendee named Karen Smithson. "He tells it like it is and doesn't back down from anyone."

As for whether or not an indictment will actually be filed against Trump remains unclear at this time. However, if there is any indication from his latest comments, it seems clear that he intends to fight back with all available means if necessary.

The rally was just one stop on what is expected to be a busy campaign schedule leading up to the 2024 presidential election cycle – assuming that Trump decides to run again.
