Rainstorm to Drench North Bay Starting Monday Night

According to the latest weather report, a storm will hit Northern California late on Monday bringing heavy rain and strong gusts of wind. The rainfall is expected to begin in the North Bay around 11 p.m. on Monday night.

The National Weather Service has issued a storm watch advisory for several counties in the region, including Sonoma, Napa, Marin, and Mendocino. The advisory warns of potential flooding and mudslides due to the prolonged wet weather.

The rainfall is predicted to last for at least two days with some areas experiencing up to four inches of precipitation. This could lead to hazardous driving conditions as well as localized flooding.

Residents living in low-lying areas or near hillsides prone to landslides are advised by officials to take precautions such as clearing debris from gutters and drains.

In addition, it's recommended that motorists exercise caution when driving through flooded roads as they can be extremely dangerous even if they appear shallow.

Accordingly, local authorities are closely monitoring the situation and urging everyone in affected areas to stay vigilant during this time of inclement weather.

Stay tuned for further updates on this developing story.
