The University of Connecticut women's basketball team has been nothing short of dominant this season. With one blowout victory after another, the Huskies have emerged as the clear favorites to win the national championship heading into the Final Four.
UConn has won every game by double digits this season and is currently riding a 127-game winning streak. The team boasts a roster full of talented players, including All-Americans Katie Lou Samuelson and Napheesa Collier.
This level of dominance is not new for UConn, as they have won 11 national titles under head coach Geno Auriemma. However, this year's squad appears to be on another level entirely.
"UConn is playing at an incredibly high level right now," said ESPN college basketball analyst Rebecca Lobo. "They are simply unstoppable."
Despite facing some tough competition in the upcoming Final Four, including defending champion Notre Dame and powerhouse Baylor, UConn remains confident in their abilities to come out on top.
"We know what we're capable of," said Samuelson. "We just need to continue playing our game and executing our game plan."
As for their opponents, they know they will need to bring their best performances if they hope to take down UConn.
"We understand that we're going up against a great team," said Notre Dame head coach Muffet McGraw. "But we believe in ourselves and our ability to compete with anyone."
With all eyes on them heading into the Final Four, UConn looks poised to add yet another championship banner to their already impressive collection.
