The Sonoma County Sheriff's Office is seeking the public's help in identifying suspects involved in a deadly shooting at a party in Santa Rosa. The incident occurred shortly after midnight on March 25, according to authorities.
Multiple 911 calls were received by dispatch, reporting that shots had been fired at a party located on Hall Road. An estimated crowd of over 100 people was present when the incident occurred.
Upon arrival, deputies discovered two individuals suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite efforts by emergency personnel to save them, one victim died at the scene while the other was transported to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.
According to witnesses, several individuals opened fire on the attendees before fleeing the scene. The motive for the shooting remains unclear as investigators continue their search for suspects.
In an effort to gather more information about those responsible for this heinous act, law enforcement officials are urging anyone with knowledge or footage related to this crime to come forward and assist with their investigation.
"This is an ongoing investigation and we are working tirelessly to identify those responsible," said Sonoma County Sheriff Mark Essick in a statement released Tuesday morning. "We ask that anyone who may have witnessed anything or has any information about this tragic event please contact us immediately."
