Brown-Forman's CEO Lawson Whiting named one of the World’s Most Ethical Companies by Ethisphere

Brown-Forman, a global spirits company based in Louisville, has announced that its CEO Lawson Whiting has been named to the list of World’s Most Ethical Companies by Ethisphere. This recognition is considered a prestigious honor and is given to companies that demonstrate outstanding ethical practices and corporate social responsibility.

Whiting has been in the main leadership role at Brown-Forman since 2018 and on its executive team since 2013. He has led the company towards diversifying its brand portfolio with strategic acquisitions like Gin Mare for approximately $500 million in September and Diplomático Rum in January 2023.

Under his leadership, Brown-Forman continues to be recognized for its commitment to sustainability, employee well-being, diversity and inclusion initiatives. The company was recently ranked among Forbes’ Best Employers for Diversity 2022.

In addition to this achievement, the Brown-forman Foundation made a significant investment in West Louisville announcing it would invest $50 million over a 10-year commitment to be given to five organizations. This marks their largest investment since their formation in 2018.
