Cardano users will soon be able to access decentralized applications (dApps) directly from their ADA wallets. This move comes after an upcoming feature on Milkomeda, an Ethereum Virtual Machine network, goes live.
Milkomeda is a layer 2 scaling solution that aims to allow developers to easily deploy smart contracts and dApps on the Ethereum network. Once this feature goes live, Cardano users will be able to access these same dApps through their ADA wallets without having to switch between different blockchains.
This development is set to provide huge benefits for both the Cardano and Ethereum communities. It would make it easier for developers of both platforms as well as end-users who can now interact with each other's applications seamlessly.
Charles Hoskinson, CEO of IOHK which developed Cardano, said in a statement "We are excited about the prospect of enabling our users to access a wider range of decentralized applications from within our ecosystem...This integration will greatly expand the possibilities for what people can do with their cryptocurrencies."
The integration between Milkomeda and Cardano is expected in Q3 2021. The announcement has been met with excitement among members of both communities who see it as a significant step towards interoperability between blockchain networks.
