Manhattan Jury Indicts Donald Trump, Making History as the First Former President to be Criminally Charged

In a historic move, a Manhattan jury has unanimously voted to indict former President Donald Trump. This marks the first time in U.S. history that a former president has faced criminal charges.

The exact charges against Trump are unknown at this time, but sources say they could be related to an alleged hush money payment made by Trump's former lawyer Michael Cohen to adult-film actress Stormy Daniels in 2016. Federal prosecutors for the Southern District of New York declined to charge Trump for his involvement in the payment back in 2019, despite Cohen's testimony.

However, Alvin Bragg, who was funded by far-left extremist donor George Soros during his campaign for Manhattan district attorney, has decided to revive the case and bring charges against the former president.

According to Joe Tacopina, one of Trump's attorneys, the former president was "shocked" to learn about his indictment through media reports. He and Trump were discussing it with Secret Service agents.

This news has sent shockwaves throughout both political parties as well as potential GOP presidential contenders like Nikki Haley, Ron DeSantis, and Mike Pence. They have focused their reactions on Bragg rather than on Trump himself.

Despite facing legal challenges ahead of him with this indictment and other ongoing investigations into his business dealings and tax records that could lead to more criminal charges against him down the line if proven true or false allegations are brought up against him-Donald trump is expected to appear before court this Tuesday where he will fight what he calls "political prosecution."
