Donald Trump Heads to New York to Face Criminal Charges over Hush Money Payments

Former President of the United States, Donald Trump, is set to face criminal charges related to hush money payments made to adult film star Stormy Daniels. Lawyer Joe Tacopina announced that he and his team are "ready for this fight" as they gear up for Mr. Trump's arraignment in a Manhattan court on Tuesday afternoon.

While it is still unclear what charges have been brought against him, sources suggest that more than 30 counts of business fraud are expected to be unsealed at the arraignment. Secret Service agents may also testify before a federal grand jury in relation to documents found at Mar-a-Lago last summer.

Donald Trump will be accompanied by his Secret Service entourage throughout much of the process and will stay overnight in his personal suite at Trump Tower. However, law enforcement officials are wary of potential violence from both pro-MAGA supporters and anti-Trump protesters who are expected to turn out in large numbers.

This historic event marks the first time a former president has faced criminal charges and highlights several ongoing legal issues surrounding Mr. Trump's presidency. Despite these challenges, Mr. Tacopina remains confident that his client will ultimately be exonerated.
