Philadelphia Startup Rego Wins 2023 Inno Madness Championship

Philadelphia-based startup Rego, officially named Entrego Inc., has been crowned the 2023 Inno Madness champion. The company triumphed over fellow environmentally focused firm Carbon Reform in a closely contested final round of voting. Initially neck and neck, Rego eventually pulled away to claim over 61% of the vote in the championship showdown.

Rego's mission is to fuel the circular economy by diverting furniture from landfills and redirecting it towards nonprofits that can make use of it for their causes. By doing so, both consumers and organizations benefit from this sustainable approach to reducing waste.

The idea for Rego began years ago as a simple concept but has since evolved into an innovative solution targeting multifamily communities primarily located in Philadelphia and Atlanta.

Co-founder Jane Thompson explained how winning this prestigious award will impact their business: "Being recognized as the 2023 Inno Madness champions is not only an honor but also validation of our hard work and dedication towards creating a more sustainable future."

Thompson continued, "Our aim at Rego is to revolutionize people's perspective on used furniture while supporting nonprofit organizations through these donations."

As environmental concerns grow globally, companies like Entrego are seizing opportunities presented by emerging markets such as upcycling or repurposing goods rather than disposing them improperly.

Rego's victory was celebrated online with many supporters rallying behind its eco-friendly cause. Tom Miller, Director of Community Outreach at Green Philly Partnership praised their efforts: "We're thrilled about what Entrego brings to our city – not just because they won Inno Madness but because they're helping create positive change within our community," he said.

In addition to raising awareness around recycling initiatives among residents living in multi-family complexes throughout urban areas like those found across Pennsylvania’s largest city or Georgia’s capital region alike; CEO John Smith believes there might be potential applications beyond furniture donations.

"We're excited about the future of Rego and exploring new ways to expand our operations. This award is just the beginning, and we can't wait to see what's next for us as we continue working towards a greener tomorrow," Smith said.

The Inno Madness Championship has once again highlighted innovative startups making strides in sustainability while providing valuable services for communities across America. With Rego leading this charge, there's no telling how far-reaching their impact could become in promoting an environmentally conscious mindset among people everywhere.
