Guto Harri, the former communications director for Prime Minister Boris Johnson, has made explosive claims regarding an alleged confrontation between Mr. Johnson and King Charles as well as revealing that the ex-PM referred to Partygate investigator Sue Gray as a "psycho."
In a new podcast about his time at No 10, Harri claimed that Johnson was suspicious of Gray during her inquiry into Partygate and believed she lacked perspective on the situation. Moreover, he accused Ms. Gray of communicating with Sir Keir Starmer and Labour while working on the report at the Cabinet Office.
Harri also revealed tensions between Mr. Johnson and King Charles over government policy surrounding Rwanda deportations. According to him, there wasn't a physical altercation but rather a tense meeting where both parties disagreed on several points.
Regarding Rishi Sunak's position as Chancellor, Harri divulged that if Mr. Johnson had remained in office after surviving Partygate allegations, Sunak would have been reshuffled out due to significant disagreements on tax cuts policies.
The former spin doctor also criticized Labour Chair Harriet Harman for her role probing whether Mr.Johnson lied to Parliament about Partygate.
Sources close to Boris Johnson have denied knowledge of these conversations involving Ms.Gray or any other matters disclosed by Guto Harri. They also expressed disappointment in any attempts to discuss such confidential matters publicly.
As UK politics resumes following the coronation events, these revelations by Guto Harri have reignited conversations surrounding Partygate and Boris Johnson's time as Prime Minister, raising further questions about his relationships with key political figures during that period.
