A recent lawsuit has been filed against former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, accusing him of workplace harassment and sexual assault. Noelle Dunphy, 43, who was hired as a business development director in January 2019, claims that not only did Giuliani fail to pay her the promised $1 million salary for the job but also alleges that his offer was "a sham motivated by his secret desire to pursue a sexual relationship" with her.
In the suit, Dunphy accuses Giuliani of multiple instances of sexual assault and harassment throughout her employment. Among these allegations are claims that he constantly took Viagra while asking for sexual favors from Dunphy in the office or hotel rooms. The suit even asserts that he demanded oral sex from her during phone calls with then-President Donald Trump and lied to the FBI about their interactions.
Dunphy's legal team cites numerous audio recordings within the 70-page document detailing this alleged misconduct.
However, Giuliani denies all accusations made against him in this case. He maintains that satisfying Dunphy's supposed sexual demands was an absolute requirement of her employment and of his legal representation.
A representative for Mr. Giuliani has spoken out on behalf of their client: "Mr. Giuliani vehemently denies any wrongdoing related to Ms. Dunphy’s allegations." They continue by stating: "He plans to thoroughly defend against these baseless charges."
The complaint names not only Mr. Giuliani himself but also several companies connected to him along with ten unidentified individuals involved in New York state court proceedings.
As both parties prepare for what could be an intense legal battle ahead, it remains uncertain how this lawsuit will affect Mr.Giuliani's reputation as well as its potential impact on future political ambitions or professional endeavors involving either party involved here today.
